Karabük (Turkish: Karabük) is a city in Turkey.

Hitchhiking out

South towards Ankara, Istanbul

To go towards Eskipazar, Bolu, Ankara, or Istanbul, you need to get onto the Ankara Road. You can reach the Ankara Road by walking 500 meters from the city center and start hitchhiking directly from there.

West towards Zonguldak

To go towards Yenice or Zonguldak, you need to get onto the Zonguldak Road. You can either walk 1.5 km from the city center or take public transportation towards Soğuksu and TOKİ, and start hitchhiking from the point where the city ends.

East towards Kastamonu

To go towards Araç or Kastamonu, you need to get onto the Kastamonu Road. First, you can take public transportation towards Kılavuzlar, Bostanbükü, and then 100. Yıl, and start hitchhiking from the furthest point of the Kastamonu Road. Note that the first section of the Karabük-Kastamonu Road passes through densely populated areas, so you may have to walk a bit further to get out of the city.

If you are in Safranbolu, you can start hitchhiking slightly after passing Hıdırlıktepe, which is at the top side of the city.

North towards Bartın

To go towards Eflani, Bartın, or Amasra, you need to get onto the Bartın Road. For this, you need to reach the historical city center of Safranbolu. You can start hitchhiking either from the entrance of the old Bartın Road in front of Havuzlu Asmazlar Mansion, or from the start of the new Bartın Road just after passing Hıdırlıktepe at the top of the city. The old and new Bartın roads merge after 2 km, so you can start hitchhiking from either point.
