Hitchhiking out
Southwest towards Erzurum, Ankara
To go to Göle, Oltu, Erzurum, or Ankara, you need to get to Erzurum Road. You can reach Göle Road by walking about 1 km from the city center and start hitchhiking from there. Alternatively, you can use the only minibus line in the city, called the Toki minibus, which traverses the whole city, and get off in front of Sugöze Toki to start hitchhiking.
East towards Kars
To go towards Hanak, Damal, Posof, Çıldır, Susuz, Kars, or Iğdır, you need to get to Kars Road. You can get there by following the road next to the Central Mosque for a 750-meter walk from the city center to reach Kars Road and start hitchhiking from there. Alternatively, you can take the Toki minibus, which is the only minibus in the city, to reach the front of the new university campus and start hitchhiking from there.
North towards Artvin
To go towards Şavşat, Artvin, or Rize, you need to get to Artvin Road. You can get to Köprübaşı and start hitchhiking with a 500-meter walk.
