• June 20 - 27 Czech Hitchhiking Championship. Sign up to participate.
• June 27 - 28 Hitchhiking Challenge Delft the first hitchhiking challenge starting in Delft to Groningen. Sign up to participate.
• July 1 - August 31 Autostop House will open it's doors in Albania.
• August 2 Trustroots Nostroots launch picnic at Villa Kuriusom Berlin.
• (traditionally) August 1 - 14 Hitchgathering 2026. Vote for your favorite location at Hitchgathering/2026/proposals.
• August 21 - 29 Road Academy. A group hitchhiking adventure in Turkey organized by The Travel Club.
• August 21 - September 5 Tramprennen by Club of Roam – Autostop e.V. Starting points Lüneburg and Weiden in der Oberpfalz to Pui in Romania. Sign up to participate.

• 25 May 2026 To make the transition from hitchmap to the new map https://maps.hitchwiki.org/ smooth we manually synchronized all rides from hitchmap on May 24th. You can now find all you rides under https://maps.hitchwiki.org/?user=your_name. This allows you to keep logging your rides on Hitchwiki's Map even if you used hitchmap before.
