I live in Switzerland, but I am North American by origin (as in grew up in the States, Canada and Mexico). I speak English, French, Spanish and Italian. I hitchhike sometimes here in Switzerland (as in once every couple of months) to get around, and it works well. I have also hitched a few times with my girlfriend and alone in Europe. I have been to Spain, southern France, Germany, Norway and in between. Not terribly experienced, but enough kilometers to know what to do.
