Most roundabouts are pretty good for hitchhiking. Traffic has to slow down and if you're lucky there is enough space for cars to safely stop.

Roundabouts have several exits, you can stand on the traffic island on the exit leading your direction. This way you can be sure that every car is going your direction.

See also traffic lights.
