[[Huatulco]] and [[Puerto Escondido]] are popular beach destinations at the Pacific Coast of the state. Hitching is very easy in the touristy places by the Pacific coast, a bit harder in the mountains and around Oaxaca City, and maybe even a bit harder in the Istmo. Still doable, of course, at least if you don't look too Mexican, sadly -- people are rather distrustful.

Oaxaca is a state in southern Mexico. Its capital and most important city is Oaxaca. Oaxaca shares borders with Guerrero to the west, Puebla to the northwest, Veracruz to the north, and Chiapas to the east.

Huatulco and Puerto Escondido are popular beach destinations at the Pacific Coast of the state. Hitching is very easy in the touristy places by the Pacific coast, a bit harder in the mountains and around Oaxaca City, and maybe even a bit harder in the Istmo. Still doable, of course, at least if you don't look too Mexican, sadly -- people are rather distrustful.
