Foz do Iguaçu is a city in Paraná state in southern Brazil. It´s located close to the famous Iguaçu Waterfalls.

Hitchhiking out

East towards Curitiba (BR-277)

From the city centre's public transport terminal take bus 225 to Tres Lagoas and get off at the Posto Acaray with BR petrol station. It's located around 500m behind the Shell station. Posto Acaray is a big truck stop and you can find here a lift straight to Curitiba or even São Paulo. If you prefer to hitch with cars you'll be better off at the Shell station as in Acaray you won't see too many of them.

Hitchhiking in

If you cross the border on foot you will end up in the Immigration and Customs Terminal located a few kilometres away from the city. It's quite easy to get a lift to the centre on the first speed ramp just at the exit from the terminal.
