[edit] Service Stations

  • Beaconsfield Services - located just off junction 2 of the motorway. This service station was only recently opened (April 2009), so there is not as much traffic as one would expect.
    • Image:Average.png (average) It's hard to find a good place for hitch-hiking at the junction. The slip road starts at an inconvenient angle to the roundabout, so Lnx found it most appropriate to hitch-hike at the traffic lights before the roundabout (section where all traffic from the service station and Slough joins the roundabout)
  • Oxford Services - located off the motorway at junction 8A, also accessible from junction 8 and A418. See Oxford for more info.
    • Image:Verygood.png (very good) Excellent hitching place with a single exit, used by traffic in all directions.
  • Cherwell Valley Services - located off junction 10, where A43 meets the motorway
  • Warwick Services - located between junctions 12 and 13 and made up of two disconnected sites (as a pedestrian, you may be able to move from one side to the other by exiting the service station using local roads - see the Map
