Community launch

Dear hitchhikers,
Welcome to the new hitchwiki community. Hitchwiki users can simply log-in with their existing hitchwiki account, there’s no no need to create new accounts!
By now we enabled groups, forums, the activity stream and friendship connections. If things are not working smoothly, don’t hesitate to report them in the forum. By next week we should have the album function running. Suggestions are also welcome. New registrations will be enabled soon, though users who still don’t have hitchwiki accounts can register an account via the wiki, and then use it here ;-)
Existing blogs have been taken over, involved users should have been contacted by mail already. If there are still problems popping up, be welcome to contact platschi.

I’m glad to be in the community from the beggining :) It’s not a big social network and it may never be such, but I’m not worried about that, often it even feels better to be in a smaller community where you know most of the people, even if they’re just virtual pals :)
Anyway, most of us are travelers so, I hope we’ll meet on the road ;)
