I'm planing to go from UK to Amsterdam, I have three options at the moment to get to continent:
a) hhiking the ferry from Dover to Calais (France)
b) from Harwich to Rotterdam
c)from Hull to Rotterdam
any suggestions or experience? as I know then route to Calais is the most popular, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it better to get a ride.

Now for the rest, I am going to volunteer in orphanages in various countries. The local U.S. high schools I work in now have agreed to participate in my project. Each high school will adopt a different orphanage, correspond and fund raise for them as well. It's going to be great!
